Get Ready for the 2025/26 Over 40’s Pairs Championship!
Bowls NSW is thrilled to announce the upcoming Over 40’s Pairs Championship—a fantastic event open to all bowlers aged 40 to 59! Teams can consist of men, women, or mixed pairings, providing a perfect opportunity for players to team up and compete in the event.
Event Dates
- Entries Close: Wednesday, 2 July 2025
- Qualifying Rounds: Saturday 2 – Sunday 3 August 2025
- State Finals: Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 December 2025 at Yamba Bowling Club
Event Format
The matches will follow a three-bowl pairs format. Each match is set to 17 ends, with a time limit of two hours (excluding trial ends).
Qualifying rounds begin with sectional play, moving into knockout rounds. Specific draws will be confirmed once entries close. Qualifying rounds will take place simultaneously across all 16 regions, with venue details announced alongside the draw.
Eligibility Criteria
- Both team members must belong to the same club. Players from separate Men’s and Women’s sub-clubs within the same bowling club are eligible to team up.
- Competitors must be at least 40 years old by 1 July 2025 and no older than 59 years by the conclusion of the event on 7 December 2025.
