Overview
The NSW Inter-Region Sides Championships are the pinnacle events for individuals to represent their Region at both Open and Senior level. The Inter-Region Sides Championships form part of the NSW State Selection pathway events with many players wanting to perform and push their claims for higher representative honours.
All 16 Regions within NSW are represented, with players selected by their Regions through competition results and trial matches.

Format
Each Side shall comprise of three teams, each of four players.
Player Eligibility
Women’s Inter-Region Sides Championship
i) Players shall be female and registered with Bowls NSW as an Individual Member and shall have a declared Club which is affiliated with the Region in which they are selected.
ii) Each Side shall contain a minimum of THREE Players who shall be eligible to be selected to represent NSW at The National Sides Championship & Not eligible to be selected in the National Senior Sides Championship (ie, aged UNDER 60 years of age as at the date specified by Bowls Australia).
iii) Each Side shall contain a minimum of THREE Players who shall be eligible to be selected to represent NSW at The National Senior Sides Championship (The Nationals) as defined by Bowls Australia (ie aged 60 years or over as at the date specified by Bowls Australia).
iv) A reserve player may be used, however the requirements of three players (Senior & under 60) as above must be maintained in each match.
Men’s Inter-Region Sides Championship
Players shall be male and registered with Bowls NSW as an Individual Member and shall have a declared Club which is affiliated with the Region in which they are selected.
Men’s Senior Inter-Region Sides Championship
i) Players shall be male and registered with Bowls NSW as an Individual Member and shall have a declared Club which is affiliated with the Region in which they are selected.
ii) Players shall be eligible to be selected to represent NSW at The National Senior Sides Championship (The Nationals) as defined by Bowls Australia (ie, aged 60 years or over as at the date specified by Bowls Australia).
