State O40’s Pairs

Overview

The Over 40’s Pairs is an exciting event open to teams consisting of men, women or mixed! From qualifying, 32 teams will win their way through to the State Finals.

Event Dates

Entries Open | Monday 27th May 2024

Entries Close | Wednesday 24th July 2024

Qualifying Rounds | Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th September 2024

State Finals | Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th October

Format

Matches are played in the three-bowl pairs format. Each match shall be played over 18 ends and have a time limit of 2 hours and 15 minutes (not including trial end(s).

Qualifying play will commence as sectional play followed by knockout. Exact qualifying draws will be determined after entries have closed.

Qualifying will take place at venues across all 16 Regions. Qualifying venues will be announced at the same time as the event draw.

Eligibility

Teams must consist of two players from the same club. Players from separate Men’s and Women’s sub-clubs of the same Bowling Club are eligible to enter together.

Players must be Bowls NSW members who are aged 40 years and over to 59 years and below as at October 27, 2024 (born between 28 October 1964 and 27 October 1984).
