Bowls Coordinator
Figtree Sports Club is looking for a Bowls Coordinator to join our team.
Figtree Sports Club is one of the leading Bowling Clubs in the Illawarra region. We boast 4 perfectly maintained greens, our head Greenskeeper winning 2023 Greenskeeper of the year. Having recently hosted the 2025 Women’s State Pennant Finals along with other key Bowls events, this is a rare opportunity to showcase your talent as a Bowls Coordinator in a professional, supportive environment.
Figtree Sports Club has undergone renovations over the past five years including the addition of a large Terrace and Kids Park, new Gaming Room and Sports Lounge. We have 2 Function Rooms, a dedicated Functions Manager, a highly rated Bistro, a Bowl’s Shop (Chap & Lie) and TAB/KENO facilities. Our club is a well-known destination for Barefoot Bowls parties.
We are dedicated to supporting our competition bowlers and creating a first-class experience for all members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all Bowls related Administration
• Coordinate and oversee all Social, Barefoot and Competition Bowls Events including entries, draws, cards, prize money, presentations and results
• Drive participation in Competition and Social Bowls events
• Promote and drive Barefoot Bowls functions
• Develop sponsorship opportunities
• Manage the Chap & Lie Bowls Shop inventory as well as providing specialist guidance on uniforms and equipment
• Communicate important information to members such as changes, cancellations and results
• Work in conjunction with our Marketing Manager to drive our online presence and promote Barefoot Bowls function packages
• Preparing detailed Bowls reports for monthly Board Meetings
Essential Requirements
• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Ability to Self-Manage and multi-task
• Marketing and promotions experience
• Appetite for growing the business and promoting the game of bowls
