BOWLS IS BACK WITH THE 2020 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS & CHAMPION OF CLUB CHAMPIONS BEING PLAYED IN FEBRUARY & MARCH 2021

Bowls NSW is excited to announce that State Level Competitions are back, and the year will start with playing the Champion of Club Champion & NSW State Championships  at Ettalong Memorial Bowling Club from February 10^th to 19^th & the 10^th – 19^th March.  In order to showcase this event and complete it in a COVID safe environment the championships will be lived broadcast across the state.

With over 480 competitors competing across the various dates, players will be competing for the Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours State Championship titles and the Singles and & Pairs in the Champion of Club Champions. Clubs and Zones from all over New South Wales are represented, and we expect to have many clubs watching the championships via our live streams.

Bowls NSW CEO Greg Helm recently announced “After what has been a tough year for many sports, Bowls NSW is overjoyed to have our member Clubs back on the green and competing in State Competitions. As the events will be run in a COVID safe manner we understand our live streams of the competitions will be even more vital this year, to showcase the fine form of these outstanding players and to allow spectators to watch this fantastic display of competition. The association understands the value of live streaming our Championships to assist in growing the awareness of the sport, whilst also ensuring all players and fans across the state can watch and enjoy the Championships.  Bowls NSW is dedicated to growing the game, and having tournaments live-streamed is an important part of our future strategic plan of making the game more accessible to all’.

The Champion of Club Championships Schedule is:

• Champion of Club Championships Singles starts on Wednesday 10^th February and concludes on Friday 12^th
• Champion of Club Champions Pairs Start on Wednesday 10^th March and conclude on Friday 12^th

The State Championships Schedule is:

• State Championships Pairs begin on Monday 15^th February and concludes on Wednesday 17^th
• State Championships Triples begins on Wednesday 17^th February and concludes on Friday 19^th
• State Champions Fours start on Monday 15^th March and conclude on Wednesday 17^th
• State Championships Singles start on Wednesday 17^th March and conclude on Friday 19^th

 

All matches are played at Ettalong Memorial Bowling Club which is located on the Central Coast of New South Wales.

Bowls NSW will be live streaming all days of play and this can be watched via our facebook page or via https://nswbowls.golive.events/ .

For those that want to keep a close eye on the results, this will be our first tournament with our new integration via BowlsLink. Live score updates on all matches is available here .
