NSW defeat Victoria in Open Test Series
The KENO NSW Blues have claimed honours in the Men’s and Women’s Open Test Series against Victoria, with the Big V getting the better of the Blues in the Men’s & Women’s Senior and U25 events. Both our Men’s and Women’s Open Sides were in fine form, claiming 3-0 series sweeps. The result is particularly impressive considering the absence of our Australian Jackaroos representatives Ellen Ryan, Tash Van Eldik, Carl Healey, Ben Twist, Corey Wedlock, Aaron Wilson and Jesse Noronha.
In the Women’s Open Side, it was a standout series for the rink of Sarah Boddington, Natalie Noronha, Jamie-Lee Worsnop and Dawn Hayman who enjoyed three wins with a margin of +41. Equally as impressive was the Men’s Open rink of Mason Lewis, Lee Stinson, Ray Pearse and Lee Schraner who also won all three of their matches with a margin of +30.
The going was tougher for our Over 60’s and U25 Sides who played admirably but weren’t able to get over the line against the Vics.
