Vale Dorothy Roche OAM
Bowls NSW Ltd is saddened to hear of the passing of Dorothy Roche OAM.
Dorothy was an exceptional bowler, having represented New South Wales and Australia over many years.
Her extensive list of career achievements rates amongst the best in the sport and includes a Women’s Fours Gold Medal at the 1990 Auckland Commonwealth Games as well as three World Outdoor Championships Gold Medals.
Dorothy’s incredible career and commitment to lawn bowls was recognised with her induction into both the Bowls Australia Hall of Fame and the NSW Hall of Champions.
Dorothy was not only a champion player but a champion person, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday 18th of November, 1:30 pm at the Hillside Chapel Palmdale on the NSW Central Coast.
