Laws of the Sport of Bowls – Crystal Mark 4th Edition
Bowls NSW has released the following Circular regarding the Laws of the Sport of Bowls – Crystal Mark 4th Edition. The Circular also includes a comprehensive analysis of the new laws provided by the National Officiating Advisory Group (NOAG).
The World Bowls Council at the Biennial Council meeting held in August 2022 in Birmingham, UK replaced Crystal Mark 3rd Edition (CM Version 3.2) of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls with the Crystal Mark 4th Edition (CM4).
The World Bowls Laws & Umpiring webpage has been updated with the revised version CM4, including a list of all changes to the Laws of the Sport of Bowls between CM3.2 and CM4 editions.
Bowls Australia has published CM4 including Australia’s Domestic Regulations, (DRs).
There have been no changes to Australia’s DRs, only an expansion of DR 2.4.5 to improve clarification of the use of substitutes.
Any required changes to the Bowls NSW Ltd Conditions of Play will be implemented in the 2023-24 Conditions of Play.
As all of the Bowls NSW 2022-23 Championship Events commenced prior to 1 April 2023, they will be completed under the CM3.2 version of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls (under which they commenced).
