BIOScapes NSW Para Blues Named for Victoria Test Series
Bowls NSW is delighted to announce the BIOScapes NSW Para Blues sides that will compete against Victoria at Deer Park from 17–18 August.
The men’s and women’s sides will each feature three players, matching the team format that will be used at the National Championships later this year.
In the men’s team, Wagga Wagga’s Bryce de Bruyn and Cabramatta’s Michael Vassallo return following their victory over Queensland last month. They will be joined by debutant Troy Rodgers, also from Cabramatta. Rodgers competed in his first Para State Championships this year and enjoyed an impressive campaign, reaching the pairs final and progressing to the knockout stages of the singles.
The women’s side features the same trio that represented NSW at last year’s National Championships: Engadine’s Carolyn Nelson, Maitland City’s Christine Constable and East Maitland’s Simone Smith. The team will be aiming to retain the shield it won in Victoria last year.
The BIOScapes NSW Para Blues will compete alongside the BIOScapes NSW Blues Senior sides, which were previously announced here.
