Bowls NSW Board and Committee Announcement
The 2025 Bowls NSW Annual General Meeting was held today, Friday 7 November.
Directors Announced
In line with our Director rotation policy, two female Directors and one male Director were up for election this year. As we only received two female nominations, and one male nomination, the Directors were announced and received at the AGM.
The two nominated Female Directors were announced and received and we welcome back incumbent Directors Lesley Swales and Sandra Jowett.
The nominated Male Director was announced and received and we welcome David Dilworth to the Board of Bowls NSW.
With his Director term coming to an end, we thank Owen Walker for his tenure on the Board of Bowls NSW. Owen has served on the Board since 2020 and has been instrumental in shaping the direction of our Sport. We thank Owen for the years of dedication he has provided to the Board and to the sport of Bowls more broadly. We wish Owen all the best for his next chapter.
Following the conclusion of the AGM, John Ellison tendered his resignation from the Board. John has served as a Director since 2018. We thank John for his tireless efforts behind the scenes in progressing our sport, and wish John all the very best for the road ahead. John’s resignation creates a casual vacancy which the Board will look to fill in due course.

Committee Announcements
Bowls NSW is pleased to announce the members of our Selection, Junior and Umpires Committees for the coming 12 months. We thank all members who applied for committee positions.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank our outgoing committee members for their contributions to our organisation and our sport.
Bowls NSW Strategic Plan 2026 – 2030
After significant statewide stakeholder engagement, Bowls NSW has recently launched its strategic plan for the coming 4 years.
As we look to the future, we turn our attention to delivering some dial shifting initiatives for our sport and our members.
