GARNET FALLICK NOBLE or Garney as he was known to us, spent a lifetime in sport. As a young man he played first grade cricket, rugby union and rugby league… In 1943 Garney’s direction in sport changed to the game of bowls. Garney’s achievements would be enough to fill up any Club’s Honour Board on his own, including 6 State, 27 Club, 9 District, 54 Open Championships, 2 State Pennant titles and the first International Bowls Tournament in Australia the Queen’s Jubilee Trophy in 1954…The Board of the Milton Ulladulla Bowling Club felt that the naming of Green No. 3 and holding the Garney Noble Pairs Tournament (National Ranking Event) would be a fitting Memorial to a man who gave his all to the game of Bowls…
