Bowls Awareness Campaigns Relaunched
We’re thrilled to announce a relaunch of our media campaigns promoting the benefits of bowls and our local bowlos! After the success of the Benefits of Bowls and Sounds Like Your Local campaigns in 2024 which generated over 19 million impressions online, these assets will be launched across digital display, search and social media channels, reaching new audiences and generating further awareness of the sport.
At the heart of this awareness campaign is the interactive ‘Find a Club’ map, a user-friendly tool designed to help individuals locate their nearest bowlos. The aim is to encourage more people to connect with their local clubs, experience the fun of lawn bowls, and enjoy the welcoming social atmosphere that our bowlos are famous for.
Bowls NSW is committed to investing back into bowls, as part of our commitment to supporting and growing the sport we all love. It is also a key part of our broader strategy to enhance media, marketing, and promotional efforts, ensuring more people discover the appeal of bowls. Whether it’s through the physical and mental health benefits of the sport or the sense of belonging fostered by local clubs, we want to highlight how bowls and bowlos are accessible and engaging for everyone.
To further support this campaign, we have uploaded all assets online for our member clubs to download and use. You can find links to these assets at the bottom of this article. This ensures that local clubs can amplify the message within their own communities and benefit directly from the campaign.
Bowls NSW CEO Tim Rowe said of the campaigns, “We want to continue profiling the key areas that we know make our sport great, and introducing as many people as possible to bowlos and the bowling community in New South Wales. These campaigns form part of the broader strategy we’re implementing to get bowls back on the map and people back on the greens. The next step for us is to look at how we can help our member clubs generate new members, and we’ll be turning our attention to this into 2025.”
The campaign officially launched on Monday 27th January across digital and social channels. To access the campaign assets for your club, follow the links below.
