Bowls NSW Board Nominations & Election Update
Dear all,
We write to provide you with an update regarding The Bowls NSW Board Nomination process which closed at 10am this morning.
We received 4 nominations for 2 positions on our Board:
- 1 female nomination (for one female elected Director seat); and,
- 3 male nominations (for one male elected Director seat).
As a result:
- The one female elected Director seat has been nominated and will need to be accepted by the membership at the Bowls NSW AGM. The single nominee for this position is incumbent Bowls NSW Director Marina Deluchi (Western Suburbs WBC); and,
- We are proceeding to an election for the one male elected Director seat on our Board. The three nominees for this position are incumbent Bowls NSW Director John Ellison (The Entrance BC), Peter Goodwin (Alder Park BC) & Bryan Wilsdon (NBC Sports).

DIRECTOR NOMINEE INFORMATION – 2024 BOARD ELECTION
We will commence the election process today via an online voting system where each Member Club in NSW will have the opportunity to place their vote.
A unique voting link will be sent to each club delegate in the coming few hours in order to do this.
A delegate from each club must place a vote on behalf of the Club and its membership. Please refer to your Club constitution which may outline your club voting processes.
Receiving the unique link to vote
This unique link will be sent via email to the nominated delegate to Bowls NSW from each member Club via a platform called ‘Election Buddy’.
Earlier this year, each Member Club in NSW was requested to provide Bowls NSW with information in relation to their nominated delegate to Bowls NSW. These voting links will be circulated to the Delegates provided to us, by Member Clubs, later today. The voting process takes approximately one minute to complete and we encourage all Member Clubs to take part in this process.
The voting process
The Club Delegate to Bowls NSW will need to click on the link, and this will take them to the online voting portal. Here, they are required to place this vote on behalf of the club and its members. All Club Delegates will receive this email and link to vote later today, Friday 4 October 2024.
Voting will remain open from today until 5pm Monday 21 October 2024.
Before placing a vote, we encourage the Club Delegate to Bowls NSW to refer to the Club constitution and to consult with the Club President, Secretary and executive members regarding the process and outcomes.
The act of voting in this election is a Club process. Therefore, Bowls NSW is unable to provide advice to Clubs on how this process should be coordinated at a Club level.
