Champion of Champion Singles Day Two Wrap
We’re down to the quarter finals of the Women’s Champion of Champion Singles and the Round of 16 of the Men’s Champion of Champion Singles after another fantastic day of play across the five host venues.
A mix of big name players have made it through to Wednesday, including Peter Taylor (Alstonville), Jeremy Henry (Warilla), Dawn Hayman (St Johns Park) and Natasha Van Eldik (Raymond Terrace). Phillip Sharp (Lennox Head) claimed the big scalp of Brett Spurr from Mt Lewis winning 25-15, as did Mosman’s Linden de Jong who got the better of Emmett McLeod (Wenty Leagues) 25-17.
In the Women’s quarter, a promising clash looms with Warilla’s Vicki Turner will coming up against Natasha Van Eldik, and a mouth-watering Men’s Singles match-up between Carl Healey (Cabramatta) and Jack McShane (Merrylands) promises to be a brilliant match.
