Bowls NSW Board Nominations & Election Update

by admin

We are providing an update on The Bowls NSW Board Nomination process, which came to a close at 10am on Friday 6th October.

We received nine nominations for eight seats:

  • Four female nominations (for four female elected Director seats); and,
  • Five male nominations (for four male elected Director seats).

As a result:

  1. The four female elected Director seats on our board have been nominated and will need to be accepted by the membership at the Bowls NSW AGM, the nominees for these positions being the current Board Members Dilys Kindleysides, Marina Deluchi, Sandra Jowett and Lesley Swales; and,
  2. We have proceeded to an election, for the four male elected Director positions on our Board.

A unique voting link has been sent to each club delegate which includes the collated nominee information of the five nominated male Directors. The nominee information can also be viewed here.

A delegate from each club must place a vote on behalf of the Club and its membership.

Receiving the unique link to vote

This unique link has been sent via email to the nominated delegate from each member Club.

Your club is required to provide an annual club update form to Bowls NSW annually. This form asks who your Club delegate is, and what their contact details are. If your club has submitted this form within the past 12 months and/or, your club has contacted our office recently to provide us with updated Club delegate information, this nominated delegate will receive the unique link via email. These links have been circulated to current/listed club delegates.

Please contact our office on 02 9283 4555 to update your club delegate information or if you require assistance with the voting process.

The voting process

The delegate will need to click on the link, and this will take them to the online voting portal. They are required to place this vote on behalf of the club and its members.

Voting will remain open from Friday 6 October until 11.45 pm 7 November.

The voting process for your club may be defined in your club constitution. Before placing a vote, we encourage the Club delegate to refer to the Club constitution and consult with the Club President, Secretary and executive members.

The act of voting in this election is a Club process. Therefore, Bowls NSW is unable to provide advice to Clubs on how this process should be coordinated at a Club level.
