Port Macquarie to Host Division 1 State Pennant Finals

The Port Macquarie Hastings region will play host to the 2022-23 Bowls NSW Men’s and Women’s Division 1 State Pennant Finals from 18 – 20 November, with Port Macquarie Hastings Council confirmed as the event sponsor.

Taking place at Port City Bowling Club and Club Lake Cathie, it will be an historic first for lawn bowls in New South Wales that the Men’s and Women’s Finals are played simultaneously across the same two venues. Some of the world’s best bowlers representing the strongest clubs in Australia will be showcasing their abilities on the greens as their sides battle it out to win a prestigious State Pennant title.

Mayor of Port Macquarie Hastings Council, Peta Pinson is excited to have the State Pennant Finals take place within the region. “Our region has been a long-standing supporter of lawn bowls in this state, and I am thrilled that we have been selected as the first location to host the simultaneous staging of the Men’s and Women’s Division 1 State Pennant finals at both Port City and Club Lake Cathie,” Mayor Pinson said.

“I wish all competitors the very best across the weekend of competition as they battle it out for the prestigious honour of being State Pennant champions.”
