2021 NSW State Triples Championships – Semi-final results

The 2021 NSW State Triples Championships are down to the title deciders following the completion of Semi-Finals at Ettalong Bowling Club.

In the Open State Triples Finals Narrandera will take on Port City in the Final.

Jai Whelan, Jake Waterhouse and Matthew Carter (Port City) claimed progression by overpowering Michael Smith, Nathan Dawson & Aaron Appleby (Kurri Kurri) 28-19.

John Ingram, Christian Morgan and Matthew Thornton (Narrandera) claimed a heart-stopping last-gasp win over Steve Rawlings, Jonathon Pollard and Matt Blackburn (Belrose). Narrandera had the early running in the match before Belrose clawed their way back to lead 23-20 with two ends to play. Matthew Thornton played a spectacular last-bowl of the penultimate end, converting from three down on the head to claim two shots, before Christian Morgan played a conversion on the last end to have Narrandera claim the two shots required to grasp the victory.

In the Senior Triples, defending Champions Greg Brims, Peter Stockham and Peter Taylor (Westport) will defend their title after a commanding win over Michael Wise, Robert Leonard & Richard Wise (Belrose). They will take on Mark Barton, Trevor Imer and Dale Maitland (Wenty Leagues) who got the better of Peter Coombes, Bill Constantine and Tony Shoebridge (Bateau Bay) in the other Semi-Final.

In the Open reserve Triples, Trevor Mundy, R Cook and J Williams reached the final by beating Brett Bowman, Tom Bowman and Dean McAlpine (Coonabarabran). They will meet the  Cabra Vale Diggers team of Mark Sajnovic, John Wragg and Shane Allard who won their way to the final with an extra-end win over John Chen, Peter Bird and Ian Ogilvie (Wenty Leagues).
