Do you enjoy working/being outdoors and want to join a premier bowling club in North West NSW? South Tamworth Bowling Club is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to assist in maintaining South Bowlo’s 2 bowling greens and other outdoor assets.
South Bowlo is well known for having some of the highest quality greens in North West NSW and as such is regularly chosen to host major bowls events including:
Multi-year host of the State Pennants
2021 Wheelchair Sports NSW / ACT Disability Singles Classic
2019 & 2022 Ladies State Championships
The successful applicant would be expected to complete a Certificate III in Turf Management and have the ability to attend Kurri Kurri TAFE.
Duties within the role;
Maintenance and upkeep of garden beds, including weeding, mulching and remodeling when needed.
Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Maintenance and upkeep of all turf related machinery and other hand tools as required.
Growing and maintaining 2 bowling greens to the highest industry standards.
Irrigation system maintenance.
Weed spraying, nutrient and soil amendments.
Maintain all club surrounds including turfed areas, concrete and carparks.
Responsible for OH&S management outdoors.
More duties will be added as skill levels improve.
Strong attention to detail.
A willingness to learn to produce and maintain top quality greens.
Ability to follow instructions and become a willing member of the club’s team.
Have a passion for sport and working outdoors.
Be punctual, reliable, well-mannered and have good communication skills.
Ability to work 38hrs including weekends and overtime as required.
Be physically fit and have the ability to lift items of 20kg and above repeatedly.
It is a requirement to be double vaccinated against COVID-19.
First Aid certificate desirable.
Uniforms & PPE provided post probation.
