2021 State Pennant Finals (Open Gender) – RESCHEDULED
Bowls NSW Limited has postponed the 2021 State Pennant (Open Gender) Finals, originally scheduled to be played between 16 – 18 July.
This decision was made with the best interests of all participants, host venue clubs, club staff and spectators in mind due to the uncertainty surrounding current COVID lockdowns and restrictions in place across the State.
After careful consideration of the many complexities involved in postponing an event as large as the State Pennant Finals, together with the valued input of all host venue clubs and participating clubs, the new scheduled dates of play for the 2021 State Pennant (Open Gender) Finals are as follows:
Grades 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 7 to be played Friday 10th September to Sunday 12th September.
Grades 1 & 6 to be played Friday 17th September to Sunday 19th September.
The decision to run the State Finals for different Grades across different weekends is due to host venue and green space availability, conflict of dates for participants qualified in other State events, National Event precedence and a myriad of other considerations.
Bowls NSW Limited appreciates and acknowledges the support of all its host club venues for the Pennant Finals Series and to the participating clubs for their cooperation with the collation of information required to make this necessary decision.
Bowls NSW Limited can confirm that there will be no change to any Grade schedules/draws.
The schedules/draws for all grades can be found here
Bowls NSW Limited advises that due to the rescheduling of the State Pennant Finals, a further announcement regarding new dates of play for the 2021 Rookies events and updated advice regarding close of entry dates, will be issued in the coming days.
